“Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.” — W. H. Auden
Good health is the foundation for everything else. A bigger house or a faster car means little if we don’t feel well, and few things support our health as simply as drinking enough clean water.
Why our bodies need it
Water makes up more than half of the body. It carries nutrients, helps control our temperature, keeps our joints moving and helps clear waste. Every day we lose water through sweat and breathing, and in a hot, humid climate we lose more than we notice. Think of it like a fuel tank: it’s best never to let it run low.
More than quenching thirst
- Better energy and focus. Even mild dehydration can leave you tired and foggy.
- A lighter way to drink. Choosing water over sugary and fizzy drinks cuts empty calories, which helps if you’re watching your weight.
- Ready for exercise. Drink before you start, not only when you’re already thirsty, to stay strong and avoid feeling weak.
Not all water is equal
We tend to assume water is water. But depending on where it comes from and how it reaches your tap, it can carry treatment chemicals, sediment or traces picked up along old pipes. Since water is the thing we drink most, it pays to think about its source.
There are good options for clean drinking water. One of the most remarkable is water made from the air itself: atmospheric, or dew, water. It starts as vapour, so it begins its journey free of the soil, rock and pipes that ground water passes through, and a MAYI Waters generator then filters it in six stages and treats it with UV light.
Put your health first
We’ve known since childhood that water is important, but it’s worth giving a little thought to where ours comes from. Choosing a clean, reliable source is one of the simplest things you can do for your own health and your family’s.
