“Thousands Have Lived Without Love, Not One Without Water. – W.H.Auden”

HEALTH is the ULTIMATE WEALTH. Our health is the most important thing that we can be blessed with. No matter how much material possession we have, how much money is in our bank accounts, how big of a house we live in, or how nice of a car we drive, none of these things matter if we don’t have our health.

We all hear how important it is that we drink water every day. We know we need to stay hydrated because we, as human beings, quite simply can’t survive without water. Having access to clean drinking water is a right that humans are granted with, as having access to food to eat. Without these basic necessities, especially water, life will cease to exist.

To stay healthy, the two most basic steps we can take are to ensure we are eating healthy food and staying hydrated. When we think of drinking water, many of us do it because we know it is necessary for our survival, but some folks may not think about the numerous other benefits drinking water offers us.

The “Other” Benefits of Drinking Plenty of Water

Sure, the main reason for making sure to drink plenty of water and staying hydrated is to ensure that our body gets enough of the basic substance that it needs to function. There are, however, a whole host of other health benefits of drinking plenty of water, as well as a few fun facts about water you may not have realized before.

Every day while we are going about our daily routines, our body loses water, either through sweating or urinating. Think of your body like an automobile’s gas tank, it is never good to let it get to “E”. Water is like fuel for our bodies, and without it, we will not be able to function. It’s important to drink enough water throughout your day to make sure to “top off” the fuel tank of your body, to make sure you are always fueled up, well hydrated, and ready to go!

Trying to lose weight? For those working on a weight loss routine, it may interest you to know that water can be a huge help. A lot of folks love sugary drinks like soda and other carbonated beverages, but the simple fact is, those drinks are full of empty calories that don’t do your body any good, and will not help in any way for you to achieve your weight loss goals. If you’re on a diet regimen, try completely eliminating soda and other carbonation from your liquid intake, and replace it with water. The results may surprise you!

Water before exercise is always a great idea. While it may seem obvious, when we exercise or perform any other sort of strenuous activity for longer amounts of time, we will eventually begin to sweat. When we sweat, our bodies start losing water. Drink water before your exercise routine to cut down on the chances of becoming dehydrated and weak-feeling.

Ensure Your Water is Healthy Water

One would think all forms of water are healthy, right? Not always. Research on many public water supplies has found alarming supplies of different types of contaminants, such as chlorine, lead, and fluoride. These can all be detrimental in the long-term to our health, and have no place in our water, as water needs to be the one thing we drink the most.

Luckily, there are many options available for clean, healthy, and uncontaminated water including water produced from the surrounding air, Atmospheric (Dew) Water.

Well water can also be a great source of clean water. Not only does it taste better than its city water counterpart, but it is also rich with natural minerals and not treated with chemicals like you’ll find in public sources.

Put Your Health First!

We all have known since we were small children that drinking plenty of water is important, but we all don’t put as much thought into all the other benefits of staying hydrated. And there are too many of us that don’t consider the sources our water may come from.

Doing research and deciding on the best course of action for obtaining clean, pure water is one of the biggest favors you can do for the overall health and well-being of you and your entire family.
